The initial outcomes of the IAQ4EDU project have been published in the JCR-Q1 journal Indoor Air

The initial results of the IAQ4EDU project has been officially published in the JCR-Q1 journal Indoor Air (Impact factor: 5.8) on November 2023, under the title ""A comprehensive assessment of indoor air quality and thermal comfort in educational buildings in the Mediterranean climate". This work was conducted by the PhD student Sen Miao, under the supervision of Dr. Marta Gangolells, the principal investigator of the IAQ4EDU project, and Dr. Blanca Tejedor, the project researcher.

This work corresponds to Work Package 2 (WP2) of the project: "Assessment of the indoor air quality, thermal comfort, and ventilation in educational buildings". Based on the data obtained from the on-site monitoring campaign (from April 2022 to January 2023), the indoor air quality, ventilation effects, and thermal comfort in 32 classrooms of 9 primary and 7 secondary schools were comprehensively evaluated according to international and national standards. The representative scenarios that usually lead to poor indoor air quality and thermal comfort in the classroom were also identified.
